MIcrowave Food Safety Tip

Tip Number Two: Microwave Food to Avoid Bacteria onlywire When you pop your food in a microwave, simply cooking it for a minute or two isn’t good enough. Tip Number One: Keep Food Hot After Cooking This is a tip that so many people do not follow, but should. After food, such as vegetable soup and chili, has been cooked, you should keep it above a safe temperature of 140˚F. To do this, you can use a slow cooker, chafing dish or a warming tray. The reason to keep food hot is because when it cools, bacteria could start to grow, which could lead to food poisoning and other illnesses. Three Easy Gardening Tips

Gardening advice on noxious weeds, insects, disease, and fungus is probably the most requested advice in gardening. Pests invade gardens all the time and can inflict serious damage if you don't get rid of them. There are many different chemicals and pesticides that can be used. Non-toxic methods include insecticidal soap. Sometimes a hard spray of water knocks off the bugs and that's all that's needed.

Gardening is a challenge but has its rewards. Fighting against weather, insects, weeds, and disease takes time and patience. Even the most seasoned of gardeners will ask for gardening advice occasionally. Why not, when there are so many problems that could decimate a garden?

Most gardening problems can be avoided if you attack the problem early rather than waiting. Check your garden every week for signs of dying or diseased plants. Healthy plants are more resistant to diseases than sick ones. Keep an eye on your plants and your garden will reward you.
